The Hon’ble Chief Minister inaugurated the Airport at Orvakal on 08.01.2019.  The Project cost was Rs.88.5 Crores with a coverage area of 1010 Acres.

  • The Industrial Hub was established with 7200 Acres at Orvakal Mandal of Panyam Constituency.
  • The Jayaraj Ispat Ltd., (Steel Plant) was established at Guttapadu Village of Orvakal Mandal with the creation of employment to 1100 persons with an investment of Rs.2960 Crores.
  •  The Hon’ble Chief Minister has inaugurated the Ramco Cement Factory at Kalvathala Village of Kolimigundla Mandal with an investment of Rs.1500 Crores and employing 1000 members.      
  • The Cement Hub was established at Kolimigundla Mandal with the creation of employment to 5850 persons with an investment of Rs.7200 Crores.
  • The Jain Irrigation System Ltd., (Food Processing Unit) was established at Tangadancha Village of Jupadu Bungalow Mandal with the creation of direct employment to 3550 persons and indirect employment to 1.00 lakh with an investment of Rs.365.00 Crores.  The land allotted for this Project is 884 Acres.

Established World Largest Solar Park with the production of 1000 Mega Watts units with an investment of Rs.600 Crores, by allocating 5,811 acres of land at Gani village of Gadivemula (M) and Shakuntala Village of Orvakal Mandal, by employing 5,000 persons.

  • Established Fresh Bowl Horticulture at Orvakal with an investment of Rs.40 Crores by targetting production of 18,000 Tones.
  • 62 lakhs hectares of Horticulture crops were raised under Micro Irrigation by spending an amount of Rs.306.02 Crores. As a result, this District stood 4thplace in the country. 
  •  Establishment of  Dr. Abdul HuqUrdu University with an estimated cost of Rs. 40 Crores, duly sanctioned and released an amount of Rs.20 Crores at Orvakal.
  • Construction of a building for IIIT  in B.Thandrapadu Village of Kurnool(M), with an estimated cost of Rs.40 Crores by allocating 151 acres of land.
  • Cluster University has been established under the RUSA scheme with an estimated cost of Rs.57 Crores in Kurnool Town.
  •  Sanctioned 68 Cascading Tanks in the Drought Prone area of Alur, Pathikonda, Dhone, and other Constituencies to the tune of Rs.230 Crore.
  • The Velgodu balancing Reservoir was filled up to a capacity of 16.20 TMC for the “First time” against the full capacity of 16.95 TMC.
  • Gorukallu Reservoir was filled up to 8.00 TMC for 1st time.
  • First time the water has been transmitted through the Owk alternative Tunnel to a tune of 5,000 and 5,650 Cusecs of water to the Gandikota Reservoir.
  • Pulikanuma LIS Scheme has been completed with an investment of Rs.236.06 Crores and the Scope for the creation of Aycut to 26,400 Acres.
  • First time in District 20.07 TMC water was released to the Gandikota Reservoir through GNSS Flood Flow Canal.
  • First time in District 12.243 TMC water was released to the Kadapa District through Telugu Ganga Project.
  • Pulakurthy LIS Scheme has been completed with an investment of Rs.67.48 Crores and the Scope for the creation of Aycut to 9,830 Acres.
  • 97 LI schemes were started in the District with an investment of Rs.515.67 Crores and a Scope for the creation of Ayacut to 88,919 Acres.
  • The Government has sanctioned Rs2774.00 crore for HNSS expansion work.
  • After the bifurcation of the State, an amount of Rs.1043 Crore was spent on GNSS phase-I to mitigate the severe drought in Kurnool District.

An MOU was made with IOA University of USA to establish Seed Hub in Tangadanche Village of Jupadu Bungalow Madal.

Around 4.38 Lakhs of farmers benefited under the Debt redemption scheme with a tune of Rs.1254.05 Crores.

The Hon’ble Chief Minister inaugurated the STATE CANCER CENTRE on 08-01-2019, at Kurnool Medical College with an investment of Rs. 120.00 Crores.
